Education is only a ladder to gather fruit from the tree of knowledge, not the fruit itself- Albert Einstein.
Today we are living in a world that is changing at an accelerated pace and there is a constant reminder to be at par with dawning demands of the day. Therefore what is required today for a successful education is a curriculum that is responsive to the context of constant flux. An American philosopher psychologist and educational reformer John Dewey said, “Education is not preparation for life; Education is life itself.” It is said to be process of living through a continuous reconstruction of everyday experiences which are intellectual, cultural, ethical and moral, etc.
One of the early studies of UNESCO says that the physical, intellectual, emotional, and ethical integration of the individual into a complete man/woman is the fundamental aim of education. In order to facilitate this aim and to reconstruct the daily experiences of students to a continuous stream, St. Mary’s School, Buddhi Vihar, provides in addition to academics athletic opportunities, various cultural celebrations, and national events that would form bedrock for a purposeful life.
We are fortunate to have committed and supportive management, dedicated staff members, intelligent students and caring and cooperative parents which blend harmoniously an ambience of a safe and intellectual challenging environment that will empower students to become creative thinkers and inspired learners prepared to face the challenges of everyday life.
With these hopes, aspirations and prayers, we continue to march forward to greater heights of enlightenment as the LORD want us to be in this world.
